Flanders Field

Bill Troy, 87, of Belmont has been reciting "In Flanders Field," a war memorial poem by John McCrae, for years at different services and events. "It's so beautiful," said Troy, who can recite them poem from memory. He first heard "In Flanders Field," as a fourth grade student at Parnell school, but it wasn't until the 90's that he started reciting the piece in public. (Grand Rapids Press Photo)
